We knew after our first meeting with Randy Stevenson and Lori Ward that Embassy Construction would build our dream home for us. During that first meeting, it was clear how committed they were to constructing a quality custom home. Through the process, our vision, ideas, and wants were translated, first to hand drawn paper plans, and eventually to architectural diagrams. They listened to our needs and designed them into the final product. It was important to us that our physically challenge friends could visit and enjoy our home. From our “zero step” front entry, “zero-step” screened in porch access, oversized accessible powder room, and spacious living areas, the goal was accomplished. Our build was complicated by building permit issues due to our county’s 100 year FEMA floodplain maps. Engineering studies and interaction with FEMA and the IDNR were required over the course of a year before FEMA issued a floodplain map modification and the county issued building permits. Embassy Construction managed the entire process on our behalf. Selecting our finishes, fixtures, flooring and color palette were all fun processes with guidance from Lori each step of the way. We are so happy in our beautiful new Embassy home.

Working with Embassy Construction was a fantastic experience.  Randy and Lori were very knowledgeable throughout the entire process - from design, to budget, and execution - and very fun to work with too!  We were first time home builders, so there were a lot of steps in the process that they were happy to walk through with us.  As we were creating our floor plans they made sure to make suggestions that would keep us within our budget, which we very much appreciated.  We also were working with a VERY difficult village, with VERY difficult demands, and they were able to maneuver through all of those details.  We started our home build in February of 2020 - when the world was crazy and on lock down - and they still managed to keep our build on track - which was OUTSTANDING!!  We loved every bit of working with them and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an excellent home builder!

We hired Embassy to build our house and have no regrets!  Their level of quality and finishes is exactly what you would expect from a custom builder.  We were able to design our floor plan to meet the views we had on our property.  They guided us through the design stages and added much supervision when we needed it (we needed it too).  They helped us make decisions so we didn't overthink choices.  Their entire team of professionals are outstanding: Randy, Lori (x2), Scott and Art and more.  After we moved in they stayed with us and helped us with any questions we had.  If we decide to build another house someday, I would hire them again!  We have also referred them to anybody looking to build a house!

Randy and his Embassy Construction crew built our new home in 2018-2019.  We worked with Randy and Lori Ward for months prior to the build.  We have appreciated so much their work ethic, attention to detail, quick response to concerns, and listening ear when we had questions or suggestions.

In 2021, Randy’s crew constructed our deck and pergola.  Again, we had a positive experience with the process.

In 2023, we again contracted with Embassy to do the completion of our basement.  One of the things that was impressive to us was that after more than 4 years, Randy was still working with most of the same sub-contractors that built our home.  This says a lot for the relationship he has with them and it was nice to work with the same people again.  

In addition to Randy, Lori, and Lori, we worked very closely with Art and Scott.  Their knowledge and concern for a job well done were awesome.

Embassy Builders was a pleasure to build with!  This was our first custom home, and construction loan build, and we had no idea what to expect.  After shopping around builders, we felt our best connection with Embassy.  Randy, Lori and Scott made the experience personal and smooth.  Lori helped us design the entire layout, pick out all of the custom finishes, and priced out everything we asked for.  We were able to reach them whenever we had questions and they were always prompt in their responses.  Everything from the steps, to the process, to the price were laid out and easy to understand.  We truly felt like partners in the entire process.  Our home turned out exactly as we had dreamed of, and Embassy has been wonderful about all the little one year warranty fixes.  If you have a Pinterest board with all your dream looks, Embassy will bring it to life!

Based upon recommendations from our architect and client referrals, we chose Embassy Construction to help transform our rather unremarkable ranch-style home into a far more appealing prairie-style.  The process involved extensive changes to the roofline and exterior, as well as considerable updates to the main living area and master bath.  We brought a number of interior design ideas to the process, but Embassy helped us revise and improve our selection’s so that the structural integrity, final treatments, and finishers were not only improvements, but financially practical.  All of their subcontractors were knowledgeable, skilled and friendly.  Their attention to detail and commitment to producing a high-quality final product was apparent throughout the renovation.  Whenever we had questions or concerns everyone involved was willing to take time to clearly and courteously explain their methods.  WE are very pleased with the final product and will not hesitate to hire them for future renovations services!
